Our ISO 529 TiN Coated Spiral Point Machine Taps (also known as "Gun Taps") are engineered for high-efficiency through-hole threading according to international standards. By combining a premium HSS-M2 substrate with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) PVD coating, these taps offer a surface hardness of approximately 2300 HV.
The specialized Spiral Point geometry at the cutting face is designed to continuously push chips forward and out through the bottom of the hole. This prevents chip clogging, reduces torque, and allows for significantly higher cutting speeds in automated production environments.
