Our DIN 371/376 TiN Coated Spiral Point Machine Taps are the ultimate solution for high-efficiency through-hole threading. By combining a premium 5% Cobalt (M35) substrate with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) PVD coating, these taps offer a surface hardness exceeding 2300 HV.
The specialized Spiral Point geometry at the cutting face continuously pushes chips forward and out through the bottom of the hole. This design, combined with the low-friction "Gold" coating, allows for significantly higher spindle speeds and prevents "chip welding," making it the top choice for automated CNC production lines.

Superior Heat Barrier: The TiN coating acts as a thermal shield, reflecting heat into the chips rather than the tool, which protects the cutting edge during high-speed operation.
Low Friction Coefficient: The "Gold" surface provides excellent lubricity, reducing torque and preventing material adhesion (galling), especially in "sticky" materials like stainless steel.
Extended Tool Life: Compared to uncoated taps, our TiN-coated HSSE series provides up to 3x longer service life in high-volume industrial applications.
M35 Cobalt Core: The 5% Cobalt content ensures the core remains tough and flexible enough to handle the radial torque of high-tensile materials.
Through-Hole Excellence: The primary tool for any hole that passes completely through the workpiece.
Stainless Steel & Inox: Highly effective for 304, 316, and other work-hardening alloys.
Alloy Steels & Castings: Engineered for materials with tensile strengths up to 1200 N/mm².
CNC Production: Ideal for vertical and horizontal machining centers (VMC/HMC) where automated chip management is vital.
Shockproof Protection: Every tap is vacuum-sealed and housed in an individual Rose-Box plastic case to protect the precision-ground point.
Corrosion Resistance: Pre-coated with high-viscosity anti-rust oil for a 3-year warehouse shelf life, ensuring the "Gold" finish remains pristine.
OEM Branding: Since 1997, we have provided high-definition Laser Marking (Your Logo + Size + HSSE + DIN Standard) for global B2B brands.

Q: Why use TiN coating for Spiral Point taps?
A: Spiral point taps are used at higher speeds than hand taps. The TiN coating reduces the heat generated at these speeds, allowing you to run your CNC machines faster without burning the tool.
Q: Can I use this tap for Blind Holes?
A: No. Spiral point taps push chips forward. In a blind hole, the chips will collect at the bottom and snap the tap. For blind holes, use our Spiral Flute series.
Q: What is the benefit of the DIN 371 Reinforced Shank?
A: For smaller sizes (M2-M10), the thicker shank provides much higher torsional rigidity, which is critical for preventing the "winding" effect and snapping during automated tapping.
